Role and Team

The Detail Shop supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our vehicle detail operations and will service our customers by meeting weekly production goals and ensuring the highest quality details to meet our customer expectations. This position reports to the Operations Manager and leads the detail shop team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead detail shop operations to optimize productivity, quality and profitability
  • Monitor and maintain equipment and facility
  • Implement and ensure all safety policies are followed and complete safety audits and inspections
  • Manage the detail shop staff which includes training, staffing, performance engagement and labor hour management
  • Communicate with other departments to prepare for production flow and meeting deadlines
  • Post vehicle detail completions to customer accounts
  • Run reports to monitor inventory levels
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with customer contracts regarding vehicle detail completion and quality
  • Cascade company and customer communication and directives
  • Promote positive employee relations and morale
  • Ordering and maintaining supplies

Qualifications

  • Auction experience preferred
  • Vehicle detailing experience
  • Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license that meets the requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of automotive experience
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership/supervisory experience
  • Confidentiality and integrity while handling sensitive information
  • Proven ability to manage deliverables and metrics against aggressive targets and timelines
  • Proficiency with computer systems and applications
