Company Description One Precision Machining is a manufacturing company specializing in precision components for industrial and commercial applications. Role Description The Machinist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chicago. In this role, the machinist sets up, operates, and monitors manual and CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and instruction. Typical responsibilities include selecting appropriate tools, measuring materials and finished parts, adjusting machine settings, and performing basic maintenance to ensure optimal operation. The machinist inspects parts for accuracy and quality and documents production activities. The role requires adherence to safety, customer prints/drawings, and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions, and apply basic math and measurement skills.
