CNC Milling Machinist

Job Overview

We are thrilled to announce an opening for a CNC Milling Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in 3 -axis CNC machining, programming, and process improvement, with experience operating CNC milling vertical and horizontal machines . This role requires attention to detail, precision, the ability to work collaboratively in a job shop environment and work well with others.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC milling machines to produce precision parts according to specifications.
  • Program CNC machines using Mastercam 24 and SolidWorks languages as necessary.
  • Utilize hand tools and machinery safely and effectively to complete tasks.
  • Conduct inspections of finished products using GD&T principles to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a horizontal and vertical CNC Machinist in a job shop environment.
  • Proficiency in programming CNC machines is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with tooling setups and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues effectively.
  • Knowledge of GD&T principles is preferred for quality assurance purposes.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Strong horizontal and vertical machining on medium to large scale parts
  • over head gantry crane training a plus
