Job description

Hiring a Pump Product Engineer for Stephenville, TX!  Looking for an entry-level engineering position focused on learning through hands-on experience. Pump Product Engineering supports the design, testing, manufacturing, and customer support of positive displacement reciprocating pumps used in markets such as horizontal directional drilling, sewer cleaning, core drilling, saltwater disposal, and more.

The role begins with direct shop and manufacturing support with the goal take on product design and customer technical support as experience develops.

Job Description
  • Provide hands-on engineering support for pump machining, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of installed equipment.
  • Support pump engineering projects, including test execution, performance validation, and documentation of results.
  • Create and review engineering drawings, BOMs, part reports, specifications, and ECNs under supervision.
  • Use CAD tools to develop layouts, component designs, and product improvements.
  • Work closely with manufacturing to resolve build issues and improve product quality and manufacturability.
  • Support sales and service teams with technical documentation and application guidance; customer contact increases with experience.
  • Participate in field or customer site visits as needed to support pump-related issues and collect application data.
  • Communicate effectively within cross-functional teams and follow established engineering procedures.
  • Seek guidance from senior engineers and supervisors as needed; assist with checking the work of drafters and designers.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, respect for others, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement, including new technologies and personal development.
You are meant for this job if:
  • B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical preferred); Generally, <2 years of experience in field. 
  • Willingness to work in a hands-on shop and manufacturing environment.
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills related to field. 
  • Basic understanding of Mechanical Engineering practices, design methods & calculations.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools and engineering documentation practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, take feedback, and grow technical responsibility over time.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Awareness of safety considerations in mechanical design and shop environments.
