Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic performs a wide range of skilled maintenance tasks to keep facility structures, building systems, and production equipment in safe, reliable working condition. Working under general supervision, this role troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, follows written instructions and quality procedures, and supports a clean, orderly, and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of highly skilled maintenance tasks to maintain and repair facility structures, electrical systems, heating systems, plumbing, machinery, and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to identify root causes and implement effective repairs.
- Read and interpret written work instructions, manuals, diagrams, and other technical documents to perform maintenance and repair activities accurately.
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation related to maintenance work, including work orders, logs, and inspection records.
- Carry out all tasks in full compliance with applicable Quality Management System policies, procedures, and standards.
- Assist, support, or help train more junior maintenance personnel as needed to build team capability and ensure consistent maintenance practices.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in work areas, shops, and around equipment as directed by the supervisor.
- Work cooperatively and harmoniously with other employees to support good order, positive morale, and an effective team environment.
- Adapt to changing priorities and perform other maintenance duties as assigned on a permanent or temporary basis.
Essential Skills
- Proven mechanical maintenance skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment.
- Strong electrical maintenance skills, including working with facility and equipment electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with pneumatics and hydraulics in an industrial or maintenance setting.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, technical manuals, diagrams, and other written materials related to maintenance tasks.
- Ability to complete maintenance-related paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Commitment to following Quality Management System policies and procedures in daily work.
- Ability to work effectively under general supervision, with work subject to inspection and review.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cooperatively and maintain positive working relationships.

- Flexibility to take on additional duties or temporary assignments as operational needs change.

Work Environment
This is a first-shift position with hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work takes place in an industrial facility environment that includes production machinery, building systems, and maintenance areas. The role involves hands-on work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment, and requires maintaining a clean and orderly workspace in line with housekeeping expectations.
