Seasonal Maintenance Assistants
Department of Public Works
The Town of Windsor, CT is seeking hardworking, dedicated individuals to assist town crews in the upkeep and maintenance of Town buildings, parks and roadways.
Normal hours of work are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Compensation is $20 hourly.
The Position:
Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with paving, patching streets, and painting.
Our ideal candidate will have:
  • Basic knowledge of the principles of building and grounds maintenance;
  • Basic skill in operating hand tools and small machinery;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Must be able to work in varying weather conditions and temperatures.

Minimum qualifications:
  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license
  • Relevant work experience
  • Successful completion of the town's pre-employment background check and drug screen (includes screening for marijuana)
