Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description

This role involves operating production machinery to cut materials to precise customer specifications in a small, collaborative shop environment. You will handle your own materials from start to finish, including pulling stock, running your assigned machine, inspecting output, and preparing finished products for shipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned machinery to cut materials accurately to customer specifications.
  • Pull and stage your own materials from stock prior to machine operation.
  • Set up, run, and monitor your machine to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
  • Use tape measures and hand tools to measure, verify, and adjust materials as needed.
  • Inspect finished parts or materials for quality and accuracy before shipment.
  • Stock and organize your work area to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workstation.
  • Prepare completed materials for shipment, including basic packaging and staging in the shipping area.
  • Perform basic paperwork tasks, such as recording production information and order details.
  • Safely operate a forklift in the warehouse and shipping bay when needed.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures throughout the production process.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues with materials, machinery, or quality.
Essential Skills
  • At least 6 months of manufacturing or equivalent hands-on production experience.
  • Ability to operate basic production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong English comprehension to follow work instructions, safety procedures, and documentation.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly during the shift.

Work Environment

The work is physically active and requires regularly lifting 50+ pounds and moving materials throughout the shop and warehouse. The environment is hands-on and production-focused, with an expectation of safe equipment use and appropriate work attire suitable for a manufacturing setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
