Wire Machine Operator Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Wire Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating manufacturing equipment and be comfortable working with wire, measuring materials to customer specifications, and following detailed work orders.

This position will support the operation of cutting, slitting, and crimping machines and requires strong attention to detail, accurate measurements, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate wire processing equipment, including cutting, slitting, and crimping machines
  • Measure and cut wire according to customer specifications and work orders
  • Read and follow work orders, production instructions, and customer requirements
  • Set up and monitor machines to ensure accurate production
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
  • Perform basic machine adjustments as needed
  • Accurately record production information and measurements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures
  • Handle and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform other production duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience required
  • Experience with wire processing equipment such as cutters, slitting machines, or crimping equipment preferred
  • Ability to accurately measure materials using a ruler or other measuring tools
  • Ability to read and follow work orders
