Job description

Bell & Evans is seeking a Machine Operator to join our Par Fry team. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment while ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently, and according to production schedules and customer requirements.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work independently while following established procedures and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate production machinery while following all required safety procedures and operating guidelines.
  • Monitor equipment during production and ensure machines are operating properly.
  • Produce products according to established production schedules and customer specifications.
  • Maintain a strong focus on food safety and product quality throughout the production process.
  • Immediately identify and report any safety, quality, or equipment concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Read and follow operating, maintenance, safety, and procedural instructions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Work effectively with fellow team members to meet department and production goals.
  • Perform all required duties with minimal supervision.
  • Complete additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; or 1–3 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with fellow team members in English.
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and other work-related documents.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and food safety standards.
  • Reliable and dependable with a positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
