Summary of Position
The Machine Operator isresponsible for the application of production machines at Rolled MetalProducts, Inc.
Responsibilities and Duties
At a minimum, thefollowing is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilitiesexpected of the Machine Operator position. These duties are not exhaustive andare subject to change as the needs of the organization require.
โ€ข Setup and operate machine to process material as required.
โ€ข Operatemachine using control panel.
โ€ข Examinematerial processed on machine for conformity to customer specifications.
โ€ข Re-processmaterials not meeting specifications.
โ€ข DirectWarehouse Worker or Helper how to stage material for production efficiency.
โ€ข Safelydrive the Hi-lo through the plant to move coils and skids to designated areas.
โ€ข Safelyoperate the over-head crane to move coils from the slitter to packaging.
โ€ข Keepimmediate work area clean and organized throughout the day.
โ€ข Useprecision when operating tools such as tape measures, micrometers, nibblers,and calipers.
โ€ข Cross-trainother team members as assigned.
โ€ข Adhereto all RMP's safety rules, regulations, and quality standards.
