We are now hiring for an ECG Technician! A ECG Technician is responsible for sorting, preparation, and cleaning of fluid waste collection devices as well as completion of all associated documentation at the Medline ReNewal plant in Redmond, Oregon. All work performed must comply with Medline ReNewal's standard operating procedures as well as FDA guidelines to ensure patient safety.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Receive containers of devices from receiving department and confirm all necessary paperwork is present

  • Dis-assemble, pre-clean and sort incoming contaminated devices by device type in a safe manner

  • Take appropriate steps to decontaminate devices which may be one or more of the following; Use chemical soaks to sanitize and loosen debris, Load devices into baskets and place in ultrasonic bath to loosen debris, Scrub devices with a variety of implements to remove debris (blood, human tissue)

  • Clean and dry devices using approved equipment, which may include compressed air

  • Reject devices if it does not meet reprocessing requirements/standards

  • Assemble and package devices to prepare for shipping

  • Prepare daily reports to track production data

  • Assist other departments as needed to ensure production output meets or exceeds goals

  • Inspect devices through a microscope for defects

  • Other duties may be assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be able to communicate in basic English with management and co-workers (Speak and basic reading ability required)

  • Stand for 8 hour shift with appropriate meal and rest breaks

  • Work in a room with sinks, racks, tables and limited room for movement

  • Work in a room with continuous moderate to high level of noise and humidity/moisture

  • Lift, push, or pull batches of devices averaging 25 lbs up to 50 times per day

  • Perform repetitive tasks, some of which are small motion tasks through the entire shift

  • Able to focus and work safely with contaminated devices at a fast pace

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Any prior experience in a manufacturing role is preferred

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$17.25 - $25.00 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
