Job Title: Machine OperatorJob Description

The Machine Operator prepares and stages composite materials for the production of carbon fiber parts and operates manufacturing equipment and tools safely and efficiently. This role performs layup, trimming, finishing, inspection, and packaging tasks while following detailed work instructions, specifications, and quality standards. The Machine Operator inspects products for quality, completes production and material documentation accurately, and supports inventory, preventative maintenance, housekeeping, and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and stage composite materials for the production of carbon fiber parts in accordance with work instructions and specifications.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment, machinery, and hand tools safely, efficiently, and in line with established procedures.
  • Perform layup, trimming, and finishing tasks to meet production requirements and quality standards.
  • Conduct product inspection to verify quality, identify defects, and report any issues to leadership promptly.
  • Carry out packaging tasks to ensure finished parts are properly protected, labeled, and ready for shipment or further processing.
  • Follow all documented work instructions, specifications, and quality standards to maintain consistency and product integrity.
  • Complete production and material documentation accurately, including recording quantities, materials used, and process information.
  • Support inventory activities by handling materials, components, and finished goods as directed.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance efforts on equipment and tools by following maintenance schedules and reporting concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to housekeeping standards to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements and supporting implementation of new practices.
