Position Summary
The CNC Press Brake Programmer & Operator is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating press brake equipment to bend sheet metal according to design specifications. This role ensures that all finished products meet quality standards and are free from defects.
 
This role requires strong Press Brake skills and the ability to produce quality work independently from day one.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Read, interpret, and analyze blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specification sheets
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC press brake machines to project specifications
  • Ensure proper positioning, alignment, and secure handling of material during operation
  • Monitor the forming process and make adjustments as needed
  • Measure, inspect, and verify finished parts to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the bending process
  • Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of press brake equipment
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and manufacturing regulations
 
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of press brake components, tooling, and machine operation
  • Proficiency with CNC programming and control software
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Solid math skills for measurement, calculations, and machine setup
  • Attention to detail for inspecting finished parts and monitoring processes
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
  • Capability to safely move and handle heavy or oversized sheet metal
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and best practices
 
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC press brakes
  • Ability to produce quality work independently from day one (no trainees)
  • Experience forming aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel from 20‑gauge to ½” thickness
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Adaptability and willingness to support a variety of custom projects
