Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring a Compression Molding Operator for a plastics manufacturing plant in Conroe, TX. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $15/hr. In this role, you will operate hydraulic compression molding machinery and work hands-on with molds disassembling, cleaning, repairing, and reassembling them as part of daily production. The work area is temperature-controlled, and this is a long-term placement opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Operate hydraulic compression molding machinery to produce plastic billets according to specifications and work instructions.
  • Disassemble, clean, measure, troubleshoot, and reassemble active molds and mold components.
  • Inspect finished product and reject parts that fall outside of quality specifications.
  • Perform startup and shutdown procedures for molding machinery and heavy equipment.
  • Complete daily production logs accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area as part of daily housekeeping duties.

Minimum Requirements
  • 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing, production, or machine operation environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience operating compression molding, injection molding, or similar hydraulic machinery.
  • Familiarity with mold maintenance - disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly.
  • Experience with basic quality control inspection and rejecting out-of-spec product.
  • Ability to operate a forklift (certification a plus).
  • Experience completing production logs or basic manufacturing documentation.
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions, company policies, and production procedures.
