General Position Summary:
Maintains cleanliness of all Food & Beverage spaces. Washes dishes, pots, pans, utensils and other food service wares. Maintains sanitary conditions of all Food and Beverage areas.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
  • Washes and puts away all dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
  • Follows all written and verbal instructions concerning department equipment use, and maintenance of that equipment
  • Maintains cleanliness of all Food and Beverages Department spaces at the resort and casino (i.e., dish room, kitchen, main casino kitchen, employee buffet tables and equipment, reefer/freezer food storage areas, and walkways between F&B spaces
  • Assists in transporting food and cooking equipment to the casino and hotel
  • Generally, keeps kitchen area clean to include walls, doors and keeps stainless areas polished
  • Dumps trash cans located in the kitchen, as requested by kitchen management personnel
  • Removes soiled linen and uniform bags to the linen supplier cart

Secondary Functions:
  • Practices Clearly Superior Customer Service at all times
  • Performs other duties deemed necessary to include limited Prep Cook and Breakroom Attendant duties on an emergency basis

Specific Job Skills:
  • Performs functions and responsibilities quickly and efficiently
  • Willing to learn how to operate and maintain an automatic dishwasher
  • Willing to learn sanitation policies
  • Must possess a Washington State food handler or an Indian Health card
  • Able to take direction and work as a team member
  • Must be dependable and able to work without direct supervision.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English

Education and/or Experience:
Must be 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma or GED preferred. 16 years of age Dish Machine Operator is permitted and is required to adhere to all PME educational guidelines.
Job Conditions:
Working conditions include working with and around dish machine washer, kitchen equipment sometimes under crowded conditions, frequent interruptions.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and lift 25 lbs. over one's head.
