Job description

Who We’re Looking For

Hood Container Corporation is seeking a Machine Operator at our Sumter, SC facility.


What You’ll Do
  • Set up, adjust, and monitor the die-cutting process according to job specifications.

  • Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure accuracy and conformance with customer requirements.

  • Troubleshoot and correct minor mechanical issues with minimal downtime.

  • Communicate machine performance issues to maintenance or supervision as needed.

  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately and on time.

  • Assist in changeovers and clean-up to maintain machine efficiency and product quality.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company safety policies.

What You Bring

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 1–2 years of machine operator experience in a corrugated manufacturing environment preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.).

  • Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with basic computer systems and data entry for production tracking.

Physical & Work Requirements:
