Summary
 
The Machine Operator performs electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and modification of electro-mechanical equipment used in packaging and manufacturing processes. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, or related environment. cGMP experience is preferred.
 
Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, instruction manuals, and drawings.
  • Perform advanced electrical and mechanical maintenance activities.
  • Ensure equipment operates efficiently and complete scheduled maintenance.
  • Rebuild manufacturing equipment as required.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform equipment modifications as needed.
  • Diagnose equipment problems and complete necessary repairs.
  • Complete maintenance tasks safely, correctly, and on time.
  • Support team members with equipment-related activities as needed.
Required Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, or related industry.
  • Preferred experience in a cGMP environment.
  • Strong ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Ability to diagnose equipment problems and perform repairs.
  • Advanced knowledge of mathematical formulas and technical handbooks.
  • Ability to use a variety of precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to complete tasks safely, accurately, and on time.
  • Ability to lift and/or exert up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work while bending, kneeling, sitting, and frequently standing.
  • Near vision acuity with minimum 20/40 corrected vision and color vision.
