Job description

At Firebirds, every role plays an important part in creating extraordinary guest experiences. As a Dish Machine Operator, you are a key part of our Back of House team—ensuring cleanliness, safety, and organization so the kitchen can operate at its highest level.

Never worked in a restaurant before but have a passion for learning more? It will be our pleasure to start you in a role where you can train and develop skillsets to become a hospitality expert!


What You’ll Do

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized dish and sanitation area.
  • Operate the dish machine efficiently while maintaining proper water temperatures and chemical levels.
  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes following food safety standards.
  • Stack and rinse dishware for optimal cleaning results.
  • Drain, clean, and refill dish tanks throughout the shift to maintain standards.
  • Restock clean wares to proper locations to support kitchen flow.
  • Remove trash, break down boxes, and maintain clean disposal areas.
  • Maintain dumpster area cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Complete prep tasks and support kitchen team members as needed.
  • Follow all opening, closing, and cleaning checklists.
  • Keep your station clean, organized, and ready for service at all times.
  • Work as part of a fast-paced, team-driven kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-first mindset and willingness to support wherever needed.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Commitment to safety procedures and consistent execution.
