Job description

Crestview Aerospace is a manufacturing organization working closely with large aircraft and weapon systems OEMs, such as Boeing Defense, Bell, RTX/Collins Aerospace, Northrop Grumman and several others to deliver complex design-to-build and build-to print assemblies. Crestview Aerospace provides these assemblies in support of in-service platforms, such as: H-47, V-22, F-35, F-15, F-16, F-18, KC-135, E-2, and weapon systems such as Harpoon and SLAM-ER. Crestview Aerospace is comprised of two (2) manufacturing sites, with operations in St. Louis, Missouri and Crestview, FL, and employs approximately 300 professionals.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities:

  • Routine Inspections & Maintenance:
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machinery to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Inspect and test machinery and equipment to identify potential issues before they lead to failures.
  • Lubricate, clean, and calibrate machines as required to maintain proper functioning.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair:
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in machinery.
  • Repair or replace faulty parts, components, and systems.
  • Work with electrical circuits, PLCs and VFDs, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to perform repairs.
  • Possess ability to use tools and alignment equipment.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery or systems.
  • Set up and adjust machinery for specific production requirements, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Record Keeping & Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts replacements.
  • Ability to work with Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Follow all safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Strong Safety Background & Mindset (LOTO, ARC FLASH, PPE)
  • Comply with environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with operators and production staff to understand machine issues and prevent potential downtime.
  • Provide training and guidance to machine operators on proper equipment handling and maintenance practices.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in machine performance, reliability, and energy efficiency.
  • Work with management to implement solutions to optimize machine operations.

Professional Requirements, Qualifications & Desired Competencies:

  • High School Diploma or GED with 7 years of related experience and advanced certification in assigned areas required
  • 2-4 Machine repair experience including control systems, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Strong Electrical and Electronics knowledge from -15VDC to 480 VAC

  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets
  • Supervisory working skills to lead team on daily basis

Work Environment:

  • Primarily works in a manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery and production equipment.
  • Requires standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of materials.
  • May involve occasional travel to suppliers or other company locations.

Physical Requirements:

Primarily manufacturing/assembly environment. Must be able to work in the following environmental conditions: noise, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current. Must be able to bend and reach. Must have close visual acuity such as viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines, and/or assembly or fabrication parts at close distance to the eyes. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to maneuver up to 20 pounds. Will be performing substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
