What You Will Experience in this position:
  • Operate machinery, hand tools, and pneumatic tools involved in highly repetitive and routine functions such as riveting, drilling, gluing, and assembling.

  • Operate forklift equipment to pull materials

  • Install hardware, perform quality inspection/checks, package finished goods for shipping.

  • Work in a repetitive, fast paced environment and participate in teams to improve processes.

  • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition

  • Support the production process by filling in positions on the line when necessary to maintain the flow of work when absences occur (Vacation, PTO, Restroom breaks, etc.).

  • Be a change agent and drive out waste throughout department through the deployment of the Lean methodology.

  • Execute and coordinate employee cross training to ensure to achieve optimal team functionality.

  • Coordinate the timely and accurate movement of material into, within and out of assigned work area as needed.

  • Drive a continuous improvement culture by involving employees in problem solving and decision making as well as recognizing them for exceptional work.

  • May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

You have:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D., preferred

  • Experience in manufacturing setting, preferred

  • Computer experience with Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, JD Edwards and the Internet

  • Forklift experience, preferred

  • Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment

  • Skill in analytical thinking and problem solving
