Position Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment to ensure efficient manufacturing, high product quality, and minimal downtime. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, and strong communication with team members to maintain continuous production while minimizing waste.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and monitor multiple pieces of production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Maintain continuous production of quality products while minimizing downtime and material waste.
• Identify equipment faults and perform basic troubleshooting or repairs when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with production teams, maintenance, and support staff to resolve operational issues quickly.
• Perform routine housekeeping and maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Quality Control & Inspection:
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and product specifications.
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Inspect materials and finished products using measurement tools such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
• Utilize electronic inspection equipment and software to verify product quality.
• Recommend adjustments to processes when quality or production issues arise.
Material Handling & Equipment Operation:
• Operate forklifts and other industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
• Move raw materials, finished products, and supplies within the facility.
• Support production by ensuring materials are available and properly staged.
Assembly & Production Support:
• Assemble components and subassemblies using hand tools or machinery.
