The Work You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Regrind, recondition, and manufacture cutting tools according to SOPs, work instructions, and print specifications
  • Read blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and sample parts
  • Determine dimensions, tolerances, setup requirements, and operation sequences
  • Set up grinding equipment and verify proper machine guarding before operation
  • Grind tools within specified print tolerances
  • Monitor machine operation and adjust controls as necessary
  • Inspect finished tools using precision measuring instruments
  • Complete inspection reports and document results accurately
  • Return tooling to designated locations after completion
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area using 5S principles
  • Assist with training and support of other team members when needed
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects
