Plant Operator

Pay: $29.00/hour Industry: Sand & Gravel / Aggregate Production

We are seeking a dependable Plant Operator to operate and monitor a rock crushing plant. This position is responsible for maintaining safe and efficient plant operations, monitoring equipment, completing inspections, and assisting with maintenance and repairs as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor rock crushing plant operations.
  • Monitor the feeding and distribution of aggregate throughout the plant.
  • Monitor gauges, instruments, and plant machinery.
  • Perform plant inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate with team members throughout the work area.
  • Assist with maintenance and repairs of plant equipment.
  • Operate other plant equipment as needed.
  • Perform other duties on the property when the plant is idle or down due to mechanical issues.
  • Follow all MSHA regulations and required safety procedures.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at various heights.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and turning.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to remain alert to vehicles, warning signals, equipment, and surrounding operations.

Work Environment
