Machine Operator Helper Altoona, PA, Hours 7 AM to 5 PM Monday through Thursday. Have Fri., Sat. and Sun off. Looking for someone that can start this week Position Summary The Machine Operator Helper assists machine operators with the setup, operation, and maintenance of production equipment. This position helps keep machines supplied with materials, monitors the production process, performs basic quality checks, and maintains a clean and safe work area. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities Assist machine operators with daily production activities. Load raw materials, parts, or supplies into machines. Remove finished products from machines and production lines. Inspect finished products for defects and quality issues. Package, label, stack, or prepare finished products for shipment. Monitor equipment and notify the machine operator or supervisor of problems. Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and adjustments as directed. Keep machines and surrounding work areas clean and organized. Perform basic cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks. Follow production instructions, work orders, and quality standards. Accurately count and record production quantities when required. Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE. Assist other production employees as needed to meet daily production goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or machine operation experience is helpful but not required. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Dependable attendance and ability to work as part of a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong attention to safety and product quality. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and lift.
