Job description

 

LeachGarner is hiring a machine operator to work as an Annealer on 1st shift.

4-day Workweek!

Hours are Monday - Thursday 4:30 am – 3:00 pm

Responsibilities include:

  • Operate furnaces to anneal precious metal objects at prescribed temperatures to ensure the correct level of hardness is achieved
  • Set and monitor annealing oven
  • Receive in and move material to the furnace, move loaded tray into furnace
  • Monitor material during annealing process and maintain quality standards
  • Properly route product to next step in process
  • Use a variety of solutions, materials, and machines to perform assigned duties
  • Use various hand tools, micrometers, calculators or related tools
  • Work from production orders, instruction sheets, charts, tables, and verbal and written instructions from supervisor
  • Maintain necessary records
  • Follow established safety and production policies 
  • Learn and assist in other areas as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a machine operator in a production environment preferred
  • An understanding of production procedures
  • Able to speak and understand English
  • Good math skills
  • Must follow all safety rules and PPE requirements
  • High school diploma or GED

This role operates in a manufacturing facility where conditions may include exposure to loud noise, fluctuating temperatures (hot or cold), and moving machinery. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. The position involves walking, standing, and lifting of materials throughout the shift.
