Job description

Position: Machine Operator C

Job Type: May be Contract to Hire or Direct Hire

Pay: $19

Hours: Monday - Thursday, 5:00am - 3:00pm (four 10-hour shifts, hours may vary based on operational needs).

Location: Geneva, IL

Requirements: Resume, E-Verify

We are seeking a reliable Operator Class C to join our production team in Geneva, IL. This role supports daily manufacturing operations, assisting with machine setup, material preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The Operator Class C will work closely with senior operators and is expected to cross-train across multiple machines and departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with machine setup and operation under the guidance of Operator Class A or B
  • Prepare and stage required materials for production lines
  • Package finished goods, including making boxes, strapping, and wrapping products
  • Perform quality checks and notify supervisor of any defects
  • Complete required paperwork accurately
  • Maintain housekeeping standards (removing garbage, sweeping, and ensuring a safe, clean work area)
  • Support different departments as needed through cross-training
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable using a measuring tape
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Willingness to learn and cross-train on various machines

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry 20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
