Job description

Assistant Core Machine Operator

Position Overview

Assist in operating Core molding machines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 Finish cores by performing such tasks as filing, mudding, gluing, assembly, dipping and/or

labeling

 Insure a quality product is completed according to customer specifications at the best

possible production rate

 Package cores to the satisfaction of the customer

 Record counts and times

 Fill out pallet identification tags

 Assist the core machine operator to efficiently produce a quality core at, or above, posted

rates and notify the operator of any production/quality problems

 Help the core machine operator with work station cleanup

 Provide assistance to co-workers as trained and authorized

 Follow safety rules, work policies and procedures per training/instructions

 Communicate in an efficient and effective manner with co-workers and supervision to insure

jobs are done correctly

 Production Worker/Finisher Skill and Education Requirements:

 Basic reading and math skills

 Able to understand and follow instructions and procedures

 Understand and abide all safety procedures, quality policies, specifications, and instructions

 Other tasks assigned by management personnel

 Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by the company handbook
