Job Duties 

Lamination Machine Line Production

  • Lamination set-up, calibrate, maintain, and repair machinery and machine tools as needed. 
  • Oversee machines rollers, any moving pieces during the production process and adjust speed or movements as needed. 
  • Keep a daily activity log of production notes (including totals, defects, etc.). 
  • Run test products to ensure quality and accuracy of production meets the set standard. 
  • Finish production on time with quality and safety.  
  • Analyze machine operations and output. 
  • Adjust machine for changeovers, different functions, or other varying needs of production. 
  • Identify and drives continuous improvement efforts through standardized work to cut cost and improve productivity and quality. 
  • Fit and assemble components and machine parts. 
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances. 
  • Prioritize and complete Production as scheduled.
Health & Safety
  • Follow on site safe work practices – Fall Protection training, First Aid, WHMIS.
  • Follow health and safety regulations by wearing required equipment and protection. 
  • Identify and demonstrate use of personal protective equipment. 
  • Follow all injury prevention policies and procedures. 
  • Report all activities and hazards that may create an unsafe work environment. 
Competencies
  • Able to read and interpret specification sheets. 
  • Mechanically inclined with mechanical aptitudes and enjoy working with your hands.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. 
  • Troubleshooting abilities to analyze problem and provide solutions.
  • Communication effectively in English both verbal and written.
  • High comfort level working in a fast-paced team environment that is constantly changing.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with little supervision.
  • Pressure to produce tangible results and complete projects within tight timelines.
  • Ability to prioritize your daily work and organize yourself to meet multiple deadlines and meet customer needs.

EXPERIENCE / CAPABILITIES

  • 2+ years’ experience as a CNC Machine Operator on a production line.
  • Knowledge of lamination set ups on a CNC Machine.
  • Training provided for lamination process.
  • Knowledge of using saws, cutting tools, and other hand tools. 
  • Skilled with various methods of measurement and verification. 
  • Comfortable with units of measure such as mm and inches (metric system). 
  • Comfortable with computer applications used in the manufacturing process. 
  • Knowledge of Lean and 6S at work.
  • Experience working with diverse cultures and a varied workforce.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma.
Working Conditions
  • Lifting and/or carrying anywhere from 0 lbs to 50 lbs.
  • Work in a production facility. 
  • Repetitive movements and work.
  • Standing for extended periods. 
  • Involves sitting, walking, standing, bending, stooping on a regular basis.
  • Walking near to heavy tool and moving machinery.
  • Exposure to all types of weather conditions, and dirt, dust and noise.
  • Flexibility in scheduling depending on production demands – able to work day &/or evening shift.
  • Opportunity for overtime on short notice due to operational needs.
