Position Title: Automation Machine Operator โ€“ FAMIC (2nd Shift)

Location: Glen Burnie, MD

Employment Type: Full-Time | Hourly | On-Site

Schedule: Monday โ€“ Friday | 2:00 PM โ€“ 10:30 PM

Reports To: Production Supervisor


Position Summary:

Fibox Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-quality industrial enclosures, is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined FAMIC Operator to join our second shift production team at our Glen Burnie, MD facility. This hands-on role is critical to the efficient and accurate operation of our automated molding equipment, contributing to the production of enclosure bases with consistent quality and precision.


The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and mechanically proficient, with the ability to follow process instructions, monitor machine performance, and make real-time adjustments as needed. This is a great opportunity to join a stable, well-established manufacturing team with room for future advancement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Load enclosure bases onto skids, ensuring correct positioning for processing.
  • Move and secure skids into the designated machine work area.
  • Load appropriate base programs into the FAMIC system based on product size and specifications.
  • Swap out heater plates and adjust conveyor handling fingers as needed for varying part requirements.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot insert feeders to ensure continuous operation and timely reloads.
  • Make real-time adjustments to program settings and recipes to maintain product quality and machine efficiency.
  • Perform routine machine checks to identify and report malfunctions or wear.
  • Collaborate with the Production Supervisor and team to meet daily production goals.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality control procedures throughout the shift.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience operating manufacturing or automated machinery preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in work execution.
  • Ability to follow written instructions, interpret machine settings, and read basic technical documentation.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment and meeting daily output targets.
  • Reliable and punctual with a commitment to safety and teamwork.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
