Job description

Description:

Sets up and operates CNC machines or machining centers to perform various machine functions, such as cutting, drilling, milling, reaming, boring, and broaching of metallic workpieces. Production process includes CNC machining, wash & passivation, leak test and assembly. Performs repetitive tasks using standard procedures, tools, and equipment. Workers are organized in teams. Teams are responsible for the daily operation of their machines and meeting production targets to perform and complete the assigned duties in timely and safe manner. They are responsible for the quality of the manufactured parts, the condition of the machine tools and equipment that are used. Ensures a clean and organized working environment in accordance with operational regulations.

Requirements:
  • Machine Operator experience, preferred.
  • Have the flexibility and willingness to learn and help in other areas of the factory.
  • Assist other team members with troubleshooting and machine operations as needed and work in a team environment.
  • Interpret blueprints and understand all features of a finished product.
  • Interpret machine operations, gages, and functions to insure proper machine operation.
  • Interact with all departments to seek clarification on unclear drawings or job instructions and to seek help when problems arise. Interact with co-workers, including mechanics, and machinists to relay new information and safety precautions, to receive instructions or to instruct others how to perform new jobs.
  • Understand when machine adjustments are needed or required and know the proper steps to take to improve the quality of product.
  • Ability to work independently when needed.
  • Complete all provided training prior to on-the-job training.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written forms to various levels within the organization.
