Job description

We are looking for a detail-focused Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform machine setup and maintenance tasks, ensuring precision and compliance with industry safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will understand CNC tooling, be able to interpret engineering drawings and measurement instruments, and follow ISO and company-specific quality control procedures. Key responsibilities include verifying program revisions, setting tooling offsets, maintaining clear communication logs, and accurately documenting all production activities. Strong attention to safety and effective communication skills are critical to support our commitment to operational excellence in the oil and gas sector.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operate and set up CNC machines and precision metal-cutting equipment, including lathes, milling machines, drills, and grinders, to produce components to exact specifications.
  • Follow machine operation procedures based on engineering drawings, blueprints, and verbal instructions.
  • Measure dimensions accurately using micrometers, vernier calipers, hole gauges, and telescopic gauges.
  • Manufacture prototype products and testing equipment to support engineering operations.
  • Maintain machine tools and perform routine maintenance, including checking fluid levels, inspecting equipment for wear, and removing debris.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and ensure compliance with company quality control and ISO standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete all required paperwork and timekeeping records in a timely manner.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and apply print-reading knowledge effectively.
  • Follow all safety policies and shop standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain communication logs to record machine issues and ensure smooth shift handovers.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by production and/or engineering managers
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three plus years of related work experience required.
  • CNC machining class work or certificate preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License with good driving record required.
  • Journeyman Machinist Ticket preferred.

  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring precise and accurate work.
  • Works effectively with minimal supervision and maintains productivity independently.
  • Capable of working flexible shift schedules as required.
