Job description

Today, Western continues to grow with more than 80 employees fulfilling specialty functions such as engineering, quality, inspection, and production. We use proprietary technology to forge some of the hardest, most difficult alloys on the market into 100% quality-controlled flanges. Every product undergoes a rigorous, sophisticated monitoring and quality assurance program, from heat treatment to testing to the final inspection. Additionally, Western is in full compliance with outlined ASME, PED, ISO, and TSSA standards, a distinction held by only a handful of forging providers in the United States.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Performs general maintenance of CNC Lathes and CNC MIlls
  • Troubleshoots and repairs plant equipment machines such as forklifts, lathes, forging equipment among others
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoist, cranes, hand tools, and power tools
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts
  • Lubricates and cleans parts
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments

Desired Requirements
  • Must be able to communicate both in writing and orally as it relates to the job

Minimum Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of basic maintenance in a machine shop preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate good sound mechanical maintenance knowledge
  • Must be able to operate a forklift and lifting devices
  • Welding experience: Stick / TIG / MIG
  • Must be able to follow instructions and have the ability to manage a range of priorities
  • Must possess knowledge of plant equipment, utilities, buildings, and grounds
