Overview

Brandt is currently seeking a Shipper/Receiver - Shack for our Barrie location. This position is responsible for assisting the parts department with the general shipping and receiving of goods.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work in teams to load trucks and sea containers with finished goods
  • Inspect crates and bundles for damage during the loading process
  • Assist in counting of inventory as required
  • Keep area clean and in order at all times
  • Load machines on and off trailers, large and small material handling etc.
  • Operate a variety of heavy equipment from excavators, wheel loaders to small forklifts
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills
  • Must be capable of working under minimum supervision
  • Must be physically fit to manually handle all goods, steel and products as required
  • Must have good communication skills and good attendance
  • Must have the ability to perform work related duties outside in a safe and competent manner in adverse conditions, extreme heat/cold/ slippery conditions
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
