Machine Operator – Steel Processing

Friedman Industries is hiring dependable, safety-focused Machine Operators to support steel processing operations. What You'll Do
  • Safely operate steel processing cuttolength equipment.
  • Read production paperwork and verify product specifications.
  • Measure material using tape measures and micrometers.
  • Maintain accurate production, inventory, and quality records.
  • Communicate equipment, safety, or quality concerns promptly.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and aligned with safety standards.
    • Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Manufacturing or steel processing experience preferred.
  • Basic math skills, computer skills, and ability to read a tape measure and micrometer.
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and on flexible shifts with overtime as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for an entire shift.
  • Overhead crane experience is a plus.
