General Purpose: The Machine Operator fully operates and maintains the machine to meet production deadlines.
Essential Functions:
• Operate equipment in the most safe, efficient, and consistent manner
• Maintain machine workflow to meet project deadlines
• Read job tickets and initiate machine set-ups per job ticket specifications
• Count, pack, and label sleeves, cartons, and skids
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines as needed
• Ensure 6S practices are being followed
Qualifications:
• Experience with manufacturing equipment and machine maintenance
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience
• Intermediate computer skills
• Ability to work overtime as needed; overtime may be required during busy periods
• Ability to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation
