Job description

Treske Precision Machining, Inc. is a precision machine shop. We serve: Space & Defense, Aerospace, Electronics and Commercial Customers.  We are Technology Driven including Robotic Machine Loading and Inspection. Our Cloud-Based On-The-Clock Training is for all employees. Our own in-house software developers continually improve the flow of information we need to do our daily jobs.

We an immediate opening for a full-time Machine Maintenance Helper.  This is an entry level position which includes preventative maintenance and minor repairs of CNC machines and other miscellaneous equipment used in the support of Production.  The Helper will work independently and with other personnel to coordinate and perform planned maintenance and minor repair activities.  Training will be provided in all aspects of the position.  The ideal candidate will possess a desire to become a Machine Maintenance Technician as a long term goal but satisfaction in the position of Maintenance Helper could provide long term employment without a higher education.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform planned maintenance including: filter changes, oil changes, machine cleaning and other repetitive technical work
  • Assist maintenance technicians with advanced technical tasks including machine repairs and troubleshooting
  • Perform minor repairs under the supervision of maintenance technicians
  • Ensure all safety guidelines are followed
  • Comfortable working flexible hours, including overtime as needed
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
  • Some technical background including: car repairs, farm equipment repairs, any level of machine repairs or any other experience performing mechanical tasks
  • A strong mechanical understanding or aptitude
  • Have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions and multiple deadlines
  • Flexibility and ability to learn and utilize new skills to perform other duties as assigned

Job Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Work performed in factory settings
  • Exposure to manufacturing environment such as noise, dust and the outdoors
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and negotiate a flight of stairs and move about facilities
  • Must be able to lift light to moderately heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Flexible with overtime and on-call
