Job description

Machine Operators are responsible for basic operator maintenance, adjustments, quality and operation of production equipment. This may include operating extrusion and production machines, inspection of feedstock, forklift operation, system monitoring, packing product and ensuring the maintenance and cleanliness of the production area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage Material: Check availability of material to be used and unload from trailers as needed, ensure materials are consumed in SAP, align materials to be consumed by each MO, ensure machines have enough material to be consumed, prepare & store purge material, identify issues with processed material.
  • Maintain Grinding Area: Organize the grinding area; ensure grinders contain enough materials, manage the arrangement of gaylords & super sacks in area ensuring proper storage.
  • Maintain Production Lines & Equipment: Carry out daily maintenance process of production lines, change screens, clean water reservoir, complete and submit paperwork for maintenance requests/preparation sheets/RAF tags. forklift maintenance and ensures that the forklift is always recharged and in good, safe working condition.
  • SAP Use: Ensure materials are consumed in SAP and manage goods received process through SAP Transactions.
  • Process Adherence: comply with metal detector policy, monitor and apply quality control process, and follow all safety procedures.
  • Forklift Operating: Able to operate a forklift truck in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to certification protocol.

Physical Demands:

  • Able to lift at least 40lbs
