Job description

Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is the largest provider of behavioral health services in Western Massachusetts and a Certified Great Place to Work. If you're a master level student seeking an impactful internship for the Fall of 2026, we invite you to join our team. At BHN's Mobile Crisis Intervention Team (MCI), you'll gain hands-on experience while receiving top-notch training, supervision, and mentorship.
Schedule: hours can vairy depending on availability
What You'll Do:
As a Master level Intern, you will learn the necessary skills required to understand the job of a Crisis clinician.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate competency in the utilization of the agency's technological systems
  • Shadow and learn how to conduct in-person behavioral health assessments in homes, community locations, or clinics.
  • Participate in required supervision and trainings.
  • Shadow and learn how to deliver crisis intervention, safety planning, and post-stabilization services.
  • Shadow and learn how to document clinical assessments and treatment recommendations accurately and promptly.
  • Help divert unnecessary hospitalizations and connect individuals to community-based supports.
