The Opportunity

Leavitt Machinery is looking for a customer oriented Service Dispatcher to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. As the Service Dispatcher you will be responsible for the coordination of Service jobs, including scheduling and assigning work to Technicians, and ensuring that services offered meet or exceed the requirements of internal and external customers..

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Service Dispatcher your key responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling, coordinating, and assigning jobs to Service Technicians ensuring compliance with the provisions of the collective union agreement
  • Managing new and ongoing work orders from beginning to end using an ERP system
  • Utilizing the service scheduler to prioritize and schedule appointments days or weeks in advance
  • Communicating with Service and Parts team members to ensure workloads are optimized, and customer needs are managed proactively
  • Managing incoming job leads using established processes
  • Maintaining professional and effective communication with customers, providing contact daily on status of repairs
  • Managing the WIP Report and billing for customers, including reviewing invoice proposals for accuracy
  • Ensuring adherence to safety programs and initiatives, and ensuring incident reports are completed when needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a comparable role is required
  • Mechanical knowledge of the heavy machinery industry preferred but not required
  • Post-secondary education in sales, business, management or a related discipline
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required
  • High-speed typing skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage schedules
  • Superior organizational skills and planning skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Confident self-starter and team player

The base pay range for this role is: $55,000 to $61,500 annually depending on experience.
