Description:
  • A supervised internship experience in orientation and mobility (O&M), encompassing lesson planning, direct instruction of iHOPE students, assessment, and paperwork (session notes, etc.).
  • Students are expected to accrue a minimum of 350 hours of internship experience, in alignment with the requirements of the Academy for the Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP) for the Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS) qualification.

This is an unpaid internship opportunity that is only open to current students. The internship may be able to satisfy course credit if approved by the student's institution of learning.
