Job description

2nd and 3rd shift positions.

Role Summary:

The Machine Technician is responsible for machine set up, machine repair and uniform and consistent machine operation. The Machine Technician Trainee or Machine Tech 1 performs similar duties within a developmental role. All work is performed in a climate-controlled environment. Machine Technicians are responsible for completing Inspector Packer training in order to move through Machine Technician competencies.

  • Enjoy using mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Understand the needs of the customers and how a quality part is defined by them

Accountable for:

  • Assist in ensuring that the output of our process is a quality part
  • Review part quality with Inspector Packers to learn if part is within acceptable standards
  • Adjust machine settings as necessary to ensure parts are within acceptable standards
  • Receive ongoing training in machine set up and operation
  • Perform duties of inspector packer when required
  • Follow good manufacturing practices to ensure product safety
  • Complete production records as needed

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent lifting of 15-25 lbs/Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs/More than 50 lbs requires a team lift
  • Frequent repetitious tasks with upper extremities
  • Prolonged periods of standing on concrete floor
  • Ability to correctly wear/use personal protective equipment including long sleeves as required
  • Frequent climbing steps and/or ladders while working on elevated platforms
  • Work involves exposure to high temperatures
