Description
We're seeking a Research Engineer to bridge the critical gap between cutting-edge ML research and production-ready solutions. You'll transform research prototypes into robust, deployable systems that end users can confidently put into production. This role uniquely combines software engineering, DevOps practices, and ML solution delivery.
  • Develop evaluation methodologies and experimental designs for assessing model and agent performance, including capability, reliability, and limitation analyses.
  • Conduct reviews of current state-of-the-art AI/ML evaluation methods and emerging techniques to inform approach selection.
  • Define and document evaluation criteria, success metrics, and assessment rationale in partnership with the Data Scientists.
  • Assess candidate models and agentic systems and produce written technical findings and recommendations.
  • Author technical reports, evaluation plans, and decision-support documentation for stakeholders.
Clearance
A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.
Experience
Six years' experience and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field or four years' experience and a Master's degree or zero years' experience and a PhD.
