Job Summary:
Roboflow is a company dedicated to making the world programmable through artificial intelligence, focusing on simplifying the development and use of computer vision models. The Machine Learning Research Engineer will develop novel methods and contribute to the research agenda, helping to translate innovative research into production systems that effectively address user challenges.
Responsibilities:
• Develop novel machine learning methods and contribute to the research agenda of the team.
• Identify areas for innovation, create novel approaches, and write papers aimed at top conferences.
• Help translate research methods into production systems running at scale.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Masters / PhD in AI, machine learning, computer vision, robotics, or similar technical field of study, or equivalent industry experience
• History of publication at conferences / journals (CVPR, NeurIPS, ICLR, etc.)
• Proficient in Python
• Values scientific rigour, reproducibility, and high quality software
• Passionate about computer vision and solving problems users value
• Pragmatic approach to utility in practice (not just in theory)
Preferred:
• Previous experience with both optimizing models for edge hardware and training models on distributed infrastructure
• Expertise in PyTorch
