Job description

The Systems Development team designs, creates, and enhances software applications and business solutions that support critical operations across the organization. Team members work closely with business users to understand requirements, develop technical solutions, and ensure software quality through testing and validation. Their work spans enterprise applications, databases, integrations, reporting, and business process automation.

The Systems Development Intern will join our team for a 6-month internship focused on Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) development and support, with the potential for conversion to a full-time role based on performance and business needs. This role is ideal for someone who is technically inclined, eager to learn enterprise business applications, and interested in developing solutions that support Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and other business functions.

Prior Oracle EBS experience is not required. This internship is designed to provide hands-on learning opportunities, with training provided on Oracle EBS, our development standards, business processes, and existing applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn and support Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) applications and customizations.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application issues reported by business users.
  • Modify and enhance existing Oracle EBS forms, reports, interfaces, conversions, and custom programs.
  • Develop new solutions and enhancements under the guidance of senior developers and analysts.
  • Collaborate with business users and team members to analyze requirements and implement solutions.
  • Participate in system testing, validation, and quality assurance activities.
  • Assist with database queries, data analysis, and business process investigations.
  • Document technical designs, business requirements, and support procedures.
  • Support ongoing maintenance and optimization of Oracle EBS applications.
Basic Qualifications
  • Strong working knowledge of computers, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic understanding of databases and structured data concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and business processes quickly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Exposure to programming concepts and software development practices.
  • Familiarity with PL/SQL, Oracle Database, or database reporting tools.
  • Understanding of business processes related to Finance, Inventory, Manufacturing, Purchasing, or Order Management.
  • Exposure with software testing, troubleshooting, or technical support activities.
