Job description


BHE GT&S has an exciting opportunity as an Engineer I, Engineer II, Sr Engineer, or Sr Engineer II at our White Oaks General Office located in Bridgeport, WV.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the development and execution of capital projects for interstate natural gas transmission facilities, including pipeline, compressor station, and measurement and regulation projects, liquified natural gas (LNG), from concept through commissioning and closeout.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, cost estimates, funding requests, and execution plans to support successful project delivery.
  • Provide project management and engineering support throughout project development, design, procurement, construction, startup, and closeout activities.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, engineering consultants, contractors, and vendors to achieve project objectives and ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective project execution.
  • Prepare requisitions for engineering services, equipment, materials, and construction services; support bid evaluations and contract administration.
  • Perform and/or review engineering analyses, calculations, designs, technical specifications, and cost studies required to support project decisions.
  • Monitor project scope, budget, schedule, risks, and performance, and develop recommendations to support management decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry codes, company standards, safety requirements, and project documentation requirements, including maintenance of accurate project records and as-built information.

Qualifications
Engineer I:
0-2 years of relevant engineering experience
Engineer II:
1-3+ years of relevant engineering experience
Sr Engineer:
5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
Sr Engineer II
8+ years of relevant engineering experience. PE Required.
All Levels:
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Strong technical writing skills, including the ability to communicate a basic understanding of technical information to non-technical people.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
Project management skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Education
Bachelor in Engineering from an accredited college or university required.
