Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D in computer science or equivalent field with 2+ years of industry experience.
Expertise and experience in various facets of machine learning and natural language processing, such as classification, feature engineering, information extraction, clustering, semi-supervised learning, topic modeling and ranking
Practical understanding of the mathematics behind modern machine learning, linear algebra and statistics.
Good knowledge of big data processing, prior experience with Hadoop, Spark, Hive is highly desired.
Minimum Qualifications
MS in computer science or equivalent field with 2+ years of industry experience
Proven record in delivering end-user facing Machine Learning driven products
Strong programming experience in one or more of the following: Java, C++, Python
Knowledge and experience with one of Tensorflow/Pytorch/Jax frameworks.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - working independently and/or in small teams
Attention to detail, data accuracy and quality of output.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $225,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
