Location: Hybrid (Preferred) – Modesto, CA | Remote Considered
Job Type: Contract
About the role 
We are seeking a Senior SAP Solution Architect with deep functional expertise to lead solution design and business process transformation across SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
The ideal candidate will have broad cross-functional SAP knowledge, strong solution design experience, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions. Experience supporting AI-enabled business initiatives is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead solution design for SAP ECC and S/4HANA implementations and enhancements.
  • Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into functional solution designs.
  • Design end-to-end business processes across multiple SAP functional areas.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between SAP modules.
  • Provide guidance on SAP best practices, business process optimization, and solution architecture.
  • Support AI use case development by aligning business processes with enterprise SAP capabilities.
  • Participate in solution reviews, architecture discussions, and implementation planning.
  • Mentor functional consultants and provide architectural leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of SAP functional consulting experience (15+ years preferred).
  • Experience with at least 3 SAP ECC or S/4HANA implementations.
  • Experience supporting at least 2 SAP ECC or S/4HANA production environments.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least three of the following SAP modules:
 Sales & Distribution (SD)
 Materials Management (MM)
 Production Planning (PP)
 Plant Maintenance (PM)
 Quality Management (QM)
  • Broad understanding of SAP business processes and integration across core modules, including FI/CO and WM.
  • Strong solution design and business process architecture experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn, adapt, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience serving as a Solution Architect, Business Process Lead, or Enterprise Architect.
  • Experience leading SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
  • Manufacturing or process industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Agile or DevOps delivery methodologies.
  • Exposure to AI, SAP Business AI, SAP Joule, SAP BTP, machine learning, or enterprise automation initiatives.
  • SAP certifications are a plus.
