- The Utility Tool brand of products features tools intended to splice and terminate cable while meeting specific application needs including accurate removal of insulation, semi-conductive sheathing, protective jacketing and other materials to produce a consistent, uniform preparation of cable ends.
- The Cablematic product line features coring and stripping tools, drop cable trimmers and compression/crimp tools for the CATV, Telecommunications and Wireless industries. Cablematic tools prepare trunk and distribution cables in addition to drop and messengered cables.

Job Description
Setup, operate & program CNC machining centers and CNC lathes
Capable of operating multiple axis CNC machines (up to 5 axis required)
Train CNC operators
Participate on Continuous Improvement teams
Incorporate lean practices into daily activities
Assist other functions / activities
Inspect own work with standard gaging
Identify inspection methods necessary to support part print compliance
Maintain quality and production standards
Make tool adjustments & tool changes
Perform secondary operations as required
Other tasks as assigned by management
Willing to work overtime as needed
Qualifications
10+ years' experience in a machine shop (jobshop) environment
Full CAD/CAM experience (SolidWorks, MasterCam is a plus)
Knowledge of CNC machine language and programming (Mazatrol & G-Code is a plus)
Capable of programming highly detailed and aesthetic parts
Passion for programming and manufacturing; sees New York as exciting and enjoys the challenge
Supervisor/Management experience preferred
Able to troubleshoot and work through issues effectively
Exceptional communication skills
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Desire to work as a team player and foster a team based work environment
Capable of training, teaching, and motivating employees
Willingness to assume ownership of role
