About the Role

ATP North America LLC is seeking a dependable Slitting Helper to support daily slitting operations, including setups, changeovers, splicing, packaging, and core cutting. This role directly supports the Slitting Operator and contributes to meeting production goals through consistent quality, safety, and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation & Monitoring

  • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and product specifications.
  • Load raw materials and unload finished products according to the bill of materials.
  • Prepare and stage all packaging materials for each production job.
  • Cut corrugated cores to the required width for production runs.
  • Participate in operator-led preventive maintenance to ensure efficient machine performance.

Quality Assurance

  • Perform in-line quality checks using approved measuring devices.
  • Report any equipment or measurement tool issues that may impact product quality.

Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with the slitting operator to optimize all process steps.
  • Support coating operators and other team members as needed.

Safety & Housekeeping

  • Follow all health, safety, and housekeeping procedures.
  • Wear all required PPE at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.


Professional / Related Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment as a machine operator or helper.
  • Preferred: Experience in the PSA (pressure-sensitive adhesive) or tape industry.


Skills & Physical Requirements

  • Basic reading and math comprehension.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, and perform physical tasks for a 12-hour shift.
