Job description

Position Summary:
Diversified Manufacturing is looking for a competent CNC Operator/Machinist to use computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of machining functions. The CNC Operator Machinist position is responsible for producing machined parts by setting up and operating a variety of manual and computer numerical control (CNC) machines; maintaining quality, safety standards; and maintaining equipment.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and operate manual and CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, tapping, grinding, milling etc.
  • Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
  • Maintain specifications by observing machining operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions and adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
  • Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.

Requirements/ Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:
  • Proven experience as CNC Operator/Machinist.
  • Skill in operating manual and CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
  • Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach.
  • Good communication abilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
